The three sculptures are a link back to the hop farming methods of the 20thcentury. The hop vine stringers stood on four metre stilts to string the vines or bines for the hops to climb up. Many of the local people still remember the stringers. This method ceased to be used after the 1950s. This has been an exciting and challenging commission.
